Holiday Journaling

Today is my last day here, we are heading home very early tomorrow morning, but this trip has been so good for me to re-charge. Emotionally, mentally and physically [I have done A LOT of sleeping]. It has been absoutley beautiful aside from a few cloudy days. Most of the time has been spent by the beach or at the pool just absorbing as much sun as possible before heading back to mid-winter in Auckland (and atrocious weather according to the news). I finished my book, Full Dark, No Stars by Stephen King, on the third day so have been journaling in the evenings since then.

My dad took this sneaky photo of me mid-journaling.
I bought a little *ahem - large* supply of arty things with me: winsor and newton travel watercolour set, modge-podge, pens, pencils, moleskine watercolour journal and acrylic paints. Take a peek at what I have been working on.

I am extreemly happy with the outcome of the sunflower. It's by far my favourite, and ties in well with Natty's summer flowers prompt over on In The Sun.

Be sure to check out this weeks FFA over here if you haven't already :)
