#29 - Mermaid
I don't know about you but I have been seeing Mermaids everywhere recently. I decided this week to give one a go myself and I'm pretty happy with my first attempt. I wanted to add as much glitz and sparkle as possible so I used glitter paint and gold pen. And sparkle it does! I used three old book pages underneath which gives it an interesting, slightly textured background. I really wasn't confident enough to try drawing a full body so I cheated and covered it up with flowing hair hehe. Despite that I really pushed myself to do something different and more illustrative this week and I'm rather proud of the result.
