This week's Artist is a photographer who combines everyday objects with out-of-place environments.
Rune Guneriussen, born 1977, is Norwegian but studied at the Surrey Institute of Art & Design in England. He currently lives and works in Norway and has put on numerous solo and group exhibitions. The photography with objects, that he is most famous for, began in 2005 with a series of photographs using tables, lamps and chairs. Popular to contrary belief, Rune sets up all of the photographs himself on-site; nothing is prepared beforehand. It is incredibly time consuming but provides some incredibly sureal photo's in beautiful settings.

Wow! This is beautiful! I've seen the lights before but not the other things! It's always amazing to me how some people see the world and what ends up coming from their incredible creativity.
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean - it's so exciting what people can do with their creativity and imagination. I love discovering new artists; that's why I love doing these posts so much! :)
