We are all made up of Stardust

It's true- we are all made up of stardust.

Obviously it is a bit more scientific than that but in essence everything in this world is made of stardust and this is one of my favourite thoughts.

I came across this video today and I thought that Neil deGrasse Tyson's response to "What is the most astounding fact you can share with us about the universe?" was just perfect. It is basically the scientific explanation of how we are made up of stardust; of the universe.

I have so much respect for scientists that continue to study and explore the universe around us; who make incredible discoveries. Space is so vast and inconceivably large that we will never be able to explore it all, which makes it that much more mysterious and magical.

This infographic is wicked! It explains where we have managed to explore so far. It includes all of the successful (& unsuccessful) missions to planets and moons in our universe.
